I had always been interested in computers and ICT. I always wanted to

I had always been interested in computers and ICT. I always wanted to know how the web designs an "internet and cyberspace" environment for the people to be surrounded by. Every time you'd surf the web, you'd be attacked by spam which would clog up your internet and wifi. It made me happy to help people remove this spam so that they could surf the web efficiently again, as MB/s was my life.
I didn't exactly have a social life, however. I would spend all day, using my "knowledge" to surf the web looking for spam filters and trying to optimise my wifi connection. It was everything to me to be a little bit faster loading a page, getting the optimum quality on my pictures and sorting out files making them easier to access in future reference.
The newest piece of software came out later that day. Being the huge computer whiz that I was, I had to order it early so I would get it on the day of arrival and install it, so I could get it running, and eventually do a review on it. But suddenly...
*Boop*
The power went out. On everything. My router was down. Without a router I had no wifi. Without wifi I had no internet. And without internet, I was nobody. I couldn't think of anything to do, the internet was my life. I was sat, lonely in the dark, feeling sorry for what I had become. Computers had taken over my life and there was nothing at the moment I could do about it. Without power, I couldn't even use the phone to ask somebody if they wanted to socialise. I still had friends, but I did rarely see them. Maybe about once a month, twice if I was incredibly lucky. I was not known to be an outgoing person and is such the reason I began using a computer. I found it a lot easier to make friends online as they did not know my real persona. Over a few months, I managed to gain more confidence through my internet friends and decided to show myself. So yes, I do believe the internet builds up your confidence, and is good in healthy doses.
