I sat at home reading my book on web design. It was better then nothing. Today had been a lazy day for me. School had been canceled after the headmaster had been caught in possession of an illegal firearm.I pondered quietly the opportunity to surf the web. I could enter cyberspace from my room. Get on board the information highway and see if there was any news. Most of our teachers used twitter, which was quite odd but I guess it was to make them look cool.

It was their own little existence in cyberspace but it was like your father wearing trainers. It made me not really want to surf the web.The information highway more often referred to as the information super highway (due to the Internet being super), was still pretty new in our village. We didn't get great speeds but we didn't mind we were just happy being able to surf the web.My name online was cladius. Why? It sounded cool to me. I always thought my name was boring. Boring Norman.

I had a sensible haircut, a sensible voice and my parents dressed me like I was middle aged. I felt in a rut most daysNow I was sat at my keyboard as cladius. I was the king of cyberspace, albeit self appointed. No one owned the information highway like I did. I was fantastic.I logged onto mylot and offered my advice on many topics. There was so much depth because I was so infinitely clever. Some people disagreed with my advice but what did they know?

They didn't know the truthI kind of felt sorry for them, to question such an unbelievable being like myself but then I felt disgusted as their lack of imagination. Their lack of vision.I slated them to the point where my account was suspended. I felt violated. All I had done was show them the error of their ways! Oh well. I guess there are some dangers to being online. You can create anything and be anyone and some of us cannot handle that. Perhaps I couldn't but I still believe in my heart I gave the right advice.I turned off my computer and returned to being boring Norman.
