It was one of my most happiest days. My friend's birthday.
His birthday would be held tomorrow, Sunday, at 11 in the morning. I still had not bought him a present, so I woke up early on Saturday and decided to visit some video game stores. My friend, Stephen was really interested in video games.
My friend was a really skilled web designer. He had a lot of practice from his Design Information Technology classes. He had even entered a competition for web design. The web designer basically had to create a simple website and it had to be informative, and the layout had to look good too. I always thought one day he'd be a professional web designer and would work for companies when he was older.
I found a game store, it had a lot of games. A lot of the popular games were seen when I had walked right through the door, right infront of me. I had taken a look at the games. I remembered my friend liked First Person Shooter games such as games like Counter Strike: Source. He really liked on-line gaming.
I picked up the first game, the title of the game was "Crysis: Warhead". It said that this game was an expansion pack for a game titled Crysis. I decided not to buy this game because I did not want to buy two games for him. I thought one game would do just fine.
I picked up the second game. The box beared the name "Battlefield 2". I thought this game would do well for a present, but I had realised my friend already had this game.
I decided to take a look at the prices. The yellow piece of paper just underneath the games stated that the price of each of these games were $90. I thought the price was too steep for me. So I decided to do some on-line shopping and to see if any of the prices online were any better.
I decided to visit a popular New Zealand auction site, called "TradeMe". Everyone used this website. I logged into my account and typed in "Popular FPS Game". One result that I found very interesting was a game called "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare". It was only for $40.
The seller was also living in my city, so I could easily visit his place and the auction would close today. I felt I was in luck, so I decided to place a bid on the item. Two hours later, I saw that I had won the game. I emailed the seller and asked him for his home details, and that I could visit his home and pay for the game and pick it up.
The person agreed. They agreed nearly instantly. So I visited his home, a short drive to his home. I knocked on the door, and he had opened up and I told him that I had won the game. I then quickly presented two $20 dollar notes. He quickly accepted and presented me with the box.
The box was brand new, seemed like it was never used. I thought that would just add up to a good present.
When I had received the game, I thought on-line shopping could never be easier than this. This is one of the reasons I had always liked on-line shopping. They present cheap prices, and they were affordable too.
The next day, I visited my friend's home and presented the game. He was really surprised and happy that I had given him the game. He said it was a really popular First Person Shooter. He said that this game would be another game in his on-line gaming collection. I could tell from his reaction he really liked on-line gaming and how much fun it meant to him.
We had so much fun at his house, he also showed us some web designs he had been working on, and I thought that all looked very well done.
