I can't really remember how old i was when i built my own website for the very first time but i do know that it looked rubbish and never got any body visiting the site. It was just a song lyric site but the theme and everything just didn't fit what the whole site was about at all. Web page design was never one of my strong points but i was good at typing and very quick and you could give me a broken computer and i would fix it. I would spend hours working on computers every day, i could probably even build a computer with a blindfold covering my eyes.

I was chatting on my instant messenger service to a good friend of mine who i hadn't spoke to for quite a long time when i got to telling him about some of my sites which he offered to take a look at and help me out if i needed it. The first thing that he said to me was exactly what i expected. "The themes do not work", he said to me. He told me about some free online web page design courses that i decided to take a look at. I did a quick on-line search of the internet to find the site that my friend had told me about. He had done the course and had found it quite good. He even owns his own business in the web page design part of it. New courses were not available at the time but i was told that the company would email me when there was a new course coming up.

My computer was very slow at the time so i decided to get a new internet security disc which got rid of everything that was not needed on my computer and it definitely sped my computer up more than i could ever have dreamed of.

About a month later i got an email to say that a new web page design course was available which i immediately signed up for. It was a really good course and lasted a little over a year but by the end of it i gained a certificate of my achievements and now all the sites that i build actually look how they are supposed to look. Me and my friend now run a very successful web page design business that grows by the day.
